Cleaning

Regulators

• Rinse thoroughly in clean, fresh water

• Ensure that all dust covers and protective caps are installed

• Do not activate the purge while the regulator is submerged

• If fitted with an anti-engraving system, de-activate it during cleaning, (R190, R380, G250)

• On G500 and S600 models, turn in the adjustment knob one turn during cleaning

Note: Should any water accidentally enter, the regulator must be immediately pressurised and purged to expel water.

 

      

Buoyancy Compensators

• Rinse thoroughly in clean, fresh water

• Inflate the BCD

• Run fresh water into the inflator while holding down the deflate/oral-inflate button. The water should run into the air cell

• Rotate the BCD completely to thoroughly rinse the inside

• Remove ALL the water through the inflator or dump valves

• Rinse all the dump valves thoroughly
 

Note: Do not use Miltons or any other non-specified disinfectant or solvent. Only mild detergent may be used if necessary.

      

Suits

• Rinse thoroughly in clean, fresh water

• Dry in a cool place, out of reach of direct sunlight

• Rinse occasionally with Scubapro 'Scubasoft' neoprene detergent or a similar specifically developed wetsuit shampoo

• Avoid bleaches, strong detergents and excessive heat (eg tumble driers)

• Lubricate zippers occasionally with wax or silicone spray
 

      

Fins / Masks / Snorkels

• Rinse thoroughly in clean, fresh water

• A mild detergent may be used if necessary
